Last week hirepipemajor was delighted to provide a full No 1 pipe band for a private performance for the CEO of Royal Caribbean, Mr Richard Fain. What a Gentleman he is, and he certainly appreciates the sound of a good going band when he hears one! Thanks to Sarah and the team from PTI for facilitating the trip.

The sadder duties of a professional piper is to play at funerals.
Today I played at North Berwick cemetery for the interment of a Scottish lady who I did not know. After learning about her life during a very personal service loving conducted by her daughter, I certainly then understood that this lady had led a full life and that she would certainly have been a person worth meeting. RIP.
